Each of my solid brass and sometimes copper armillary spheres are unique, handmade one at time works of art that I have crafted to fill the void between the original instruments and inexpensive reproductions. Only 30 units are produced each year entirely by myself.
Sizes range from 1 to 3 feet in diameter and from 19 inches to 4 feet in height depending on the base style. Pedestal height is recommended to be from 27 to 40 inches . Total mounted height will therefore range from approx. 5 to 6.5 feet. Please note that pedestals are not included.
Each unit is essentually commissioned, based on your individual needs and the design options and sizes available. Each unit will rotate on axis via bronze bushings or precisions bearings. Motor drives are also an option. Call me at 1-800-480-3557 with your specifications for a quotation..
